About the coffee
A key figure in the specialty coffee production scene in Indonesia, Asman formed the Ribang Gayo Musara Cooperative in 2018, with the goals of offering competitive prices for local farmers, while also providing training and outreach for farmers in everything from cultivation to processing.
While most coffee in Indonesia is processed using the wet-hulled or “Giling Basah” method, Asman decided to focus more on processing lots as Fully Washed, Honey or Natural. This natural-processed coffee has a comforting, medium-heavy body, with a familiar chocolatey profile accompanied by pleasant hints of red fruit notes.
