    About the coffee
A few months ago, our founder Thomas was introduced by a friend to a small coffee plantation located within a durian farm in Lojing, Kelantan. Coffee growing alongside durian trees in the highlands was unusual, to say the least — Thomas was immediately intrigued.

He connected with the father–son duo behind the farm, Mr. Goh and Jasper, and discovered approximately 700 Liberica trees planted at around 1,000 metres above sea level, now 4–5 years old. Liberica is rarely cultivated at this altitude, making this one of the highest-altitude Liberica plantings currently known in Malaysia.

Despite being grown well above Liberica’s typical lowland range, the trees are healthy and producing consistently. Processing here is kept simple and fully manual. The coffee is pulped natural, with cherries hand-picked, hand-depulped, shade-dried, and hand-hulled—no machinery, no shortcuts.

In the cup, the coffee shows a cleaner and more balanced profile compared to lowland Liberica, while still retaining its signature depth and body.

Due to the limited harvest volume, only a very small lot was secured this season. We’re excited to share this rare high-altitude expression of Liberica from Lojing with you.
