    About the coffee

    If you enjoyed our previous Anaerobic Natural Liberica release (which was a N20), you’ll love this even more. Cultivating this Liberica lot using the farm’s Anaerobic N26 method — where the beans go through a meticulous 26-day fermentation in sealed barrels before the drying process — brings out a sweeter, funkier profile compared to the traditional natural method. A medium-light roast profile yields notes of peach, dried longan, red dates and black tea.

     

    About the farm

    My Liberica owns 50 acres (20 hectares) of carefully grown coffee in Kulai, Johor. Due to the unique soil nutrients and conditions, all coffee trees come from the Liberica variety. To improve coffee quality and be environmentally responsible, they use coffee waste on the farm to produce organic fertilizer. Compared to other Liberica coffee farms, they grow, harvest, process and roast their coffee with a good understanding of the geography, which improves their unique coffee flavor. In order to stimulate production and improve the quality of coffee planting and harvesting, they also purchase coffee cherries from nearby coffee farmers to encourage farmers to produce high-quality coffee cherries by increasing the purchase price.
