And that calls for a seasonal blend that is just as merry. For this year’s Christmas Blend, we drew inspiration from the traditional Christmas cake Yule log, a dessert that rolls a chocolate-filled sponge cake to resemble a log, and decorated with festive toppings like berries and powdered sugar — sounds delightful, doesn’t it?
With a sweet dessert in mind and inspired by Taufan Mokoginta’s teachings of experimenting with roasting profiles, we’re embracing the cosy, joyous spirit of the season with an off-kilter blend of the Colombia Las Veraneras Natural in two different profiles: Candy and Chocolate. This was a fun one to work on — the Candy profile brings out lovely fruity, berry notes in the coffee, while the Chocolate counterpart gives it more body and cocoa undertones.
